Demonstrations

We are part of the Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc., in the East Kingdom.  The SCA is an international organization dedicated to researching and re-creating the arts and skills of pre-17th-century Europe. Our "Known World" consists of 19 kingdoms, with over 30,000 members residing in countries around the world. Members, dressed in clothing of the Middle Ages and Renaissance, attend events which may feature tournaments, arts exhibits, classes, workshops, dancing, feasts, and more. Our "royalty" hold courts at which they recognize and honor members for their contributions to the group.

We are available to do demo’s for schools, scout troops, festivals, anywhere we have the room to re-enact in safety, as most of our demo have fighting and dancing (smaller areas can be accommodated if needed).

Our usual demo’s have:

  • Medieval Fighting
  • Armor Construction
  • Weapon Construction
  • Crafts
  • Jewelry Making
  • Sewing / Clothing Construction
  • Discussions of Life in the SCA and Middle Ages

In order to make the demos as enjoyable as possible, we ask to have a 4 week advanced notice of any demo date requested (especially any daytime demo requests as we usually have more people available at evening and weekend events).  This advance notice gives us a chance to plan the demo appropriately.

To properly prepare for any demo we ask you fill out and email the pre-demo request form to our Magister (demo coordinator).   I will get back to you as soon as possible to help plan the demo.  If you have any questions or concern please feel free to email me.

In service,

Kelby Sisson
